Support Scheme for Enhancing the Competitiveness of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the Manufacturing Sector
Objective
The goal of this scheme is to support the development and strengthening of SMEs operating in the manufacturing sector, as well as other targeted economic activities, located or planning to be located in areas of Cyprus under the control of the Republic of Cyprus.
Eligible Beneficiaries:
- New or existing Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector.
- Other new or existing SMEs active in the following economic activities:
- Production of edible and non-edible ice
- Dismantling services for waste objects/machinery
- Recycling of metallic and non-metallic waste and scrap
- Auto body painting
- Technical Testing & Analysis (e.g., food & beverage chemistry, industrial product testing laboratories)
- Research and experimental development in other natural sciences and engineering (product design and prototyping for industrial production purposes)
- Fashion design (fabrics, clothing, footwear, jewelry, furniture)
- Dry-cleaning / Laundry services
- Production of films, videos, and television programs
Grant Rate and Amount:
- Grant intensity: 60%
- Maximum grant amount: €200,000
Eligible Expenses:
- Buildings: Construction and/or expansion
- Building modifications / interior arrangements
- New machinery and equipment
- Transport vehicles
- Flat rate of 7% calculated on the total of direct eligible expenses
