Grant Scheme for Investments in the Processing and/or Marketing of Agricultural Products.

The Scheme's Guide has been published by the Ministry of Energy, and the platform for submitting applications will open within 2025. The available budget is €10.3 million.

ELIGIBLE BENEFICIARIES

  • New or existing small, medium, and large enterprises involved in the processing of agricultural products
  • Recognized Producer Groups and Organizations, approved by the Competent Authority

Examples of Eligible Activities

  • Marketing of fruits and vegetables (packaging, standardization, sorting, preservation, refrigeration, and storage)
  • Packing facilities for fresh fruits and vegetables
  • Standardization/packaging of olive oil and eggs
  • Standardization/packaging of meat and dairy products
  • Milk collection, pre-cooling, and pasteurization
  • Slaughterhouses for poultry, rabbits, and other animals
  • Flower markets, and flower packaging and distribution centers

Excluded: Products related to Fisheries / Aquaculture, Wine, and Wine Vinegar

SUBSIDY AMOUNT

  • 50% of eligible expenses for small, medium, and large enterprises with a maximum of €400,000
  • 50% of eligible expenses, up to €200,000 for very small enterprises (up to 10 employees)
  • 60% for businesses located in mountainous or disadvantaged areas, with a maximum of €300,000

ELIGIBLE INVESTMENTS

  • Investment in buildings (purchase, expansion, and improvements)
  • Purchase of new machinery and equipment
  • Transport vehicles (for raw materials and final products)
  • Purchase of digital equipment (software and other process automation tools)

OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHEME

  • Development of new products with high added value
  • Development of new processing methods and implementation of technologies related to these products, and the promotion of innovative investments
  • Utilization of agricultural raw materials, with priority given to local production
  • Preservation and promotion of traditional and organic products
  • More efficient energy use and the use of Renewable Energy Sources (RES)
  • Creation of new jobs, especially in rural areas
