Employment & Training Schemes Subsidized by the Human Resource Development Authority (HRDA)
The HRDA schemes support businesses and organizations in hiring and training individuals by subsidizing part of the related expenses. The grant covers a percentage of the trainer’s fee, the employee’s salary, and operational training costs.
Two funding schemes are available and open year-round for applications. Applications must be submitted within two months from the date of employment of the individuals.
Graduate Employment in Enterprises Scheme
Eligibility Criteria:
- The graduate must be under 30 years old and hold a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma (minimum 3 years of study).
- If the graduate has relevant work experience, it must not exceed eight (8) months.
- Minimum employment duration: 6 months with subsidy, plus 2 additional months without subsidy.
- Minimum gross salary: €1,160/month
- Maximum subsidy amount: €8,760
Training Scheme for Long-Term Unemployed Individuals
Eligibility Criteria:
- If the unemployed individual holds a tertiary education degree, they must be over 30 years old.
- Must be registered as unemployed for more than 6 consecutive months with the Public Employment Service prior to the application date.
- If relevant work experience exists, it must not exceed eight (8) months.
- Minimum employment duration: 4 months with subsidy, plus 2 additional months without subsidy.
- Minimum gross salary: €1,000/month
- Maximum subsidy amount: €5,240
